Mona Friedman Kolko

 

Mona Friedman Kolko is the current Board President of the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester. Previous Federation volunteer positions have included Board member, immediate Past Chair of the Jewish Community Relations Council, and Past Chair of Women's Philanthropy. Mona served on the board of Jewish Federations of North America’s National Women’s Philanthropy and locally on the board of Hillel Community Day School. She is currently a member of the Program Committee of the Gallery Council at the Memorial Art Gallery.

Mona is a retired social worker, having earned her MSW from Syracuse University. She was a Medical Social Work Supervisor at Strong Memorial Hospital and the Director of Social Work at Kirkhaven Nursing Home. She enjoys her book club, women’s Torah study group, long walks, visits with family and friends, and travel. Mona and husband Mark have four children and six grandchildren ranging in age from 8 to 24.
