BRAVE SPACES 2024: Navigating Difficult Workplace Conversations to Restore Empathy and Authenticity.
On June 11, 2024 we unpacked the question: what does corporate responsibility in ending hate look like? Through panel discussions we explored how to create a culture of empathy and equity (not 'checkquity') in the workplace and your community, why the role of DEI is being increasingly challenged, and why engaging in difficult conversations is an investment rather than a liability.
Comments from participants
Emmanuel is one of the best most inspiring speakers I have heard in a long time. He is easy and clear to understand and his points of view resonate with me and many people. Thanks for bringing him I am excited to read the book.
I appreciated the range from the community with both business, government and non-profit and ways they are working to avoid or lean into pushback from various individuals and groups that avoid looking at aspects of inclusion and celebrating others.
So many insightful and powerful nuggets of wisdom were shared in a very real and inspiring way. Each panel member, including the moderator was AMAZING to learn from.
Smriti Jacob facilitated a great discussion- fluid and comfortable.
