Student to Student empowers Jewish teens to talk about Judaism and Israel with proficiency, authenticity, and confidence: AND it offers non-Jewish students an opportunity to understand contemporary Judaism as practiced by the very people in front of them, including Jewish rituals and traditions, customs and identites. Students are encouraged to ask questions, free of judgement.

By the end of the school year, our STS Ambassadors will have given presentations to hundreds of students, many of whom may have never met a Jewish person. During presentations, the STS Ambassadors provide insights into their lives as Jewish teens and put a “human face” to Judaism.

Non-Jewish students who experience these presentations report an increased understanding of Judaism and more positive feelings towards Jews. For our participants, Student to Student provides an opportunity to truly make a difference in our community and is an effective method of leadership training.
