Sierra Sadowski

Sierra M. Sadowski graduated from the University of Rochester in 2023 with a BA in Religion (with an Honors thesis entitled Islam and Polygyny in the Blog Era) and a BA in Comparative Literature. During her college career she worked at the University's Interfaith Chapel, served as President of the Interfaith Cooperation on campus, interned as a content and design intern for a nonprofit organization focused on women’s empowerment, and more.

She feels passionately about service and community development, especially due to her prior experience as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer in Rochester in the summer of 2021, as well as the gap year she took in 2018 to teach English at a local high school in Cuenca, Ecuador. Her commitments are firmly rooted in antiracist and decarceration theory with restorative justice as the main goal.
