The vision of the Youth Engagement Program is to carry out the Levine Center to End
Hate’s mission through youth engagement efforts. The Youth Ambassador Council
(YAC), a widely diverse group of students from school districts across the Greater
Rochester area, are hired with the goal of building an understanding of what underpins
expressions of hate and deepening their knowledge of anti-hate practices used to
combat them. Our highly trained class of Youth Ambassadors design programming for
their peers, while also supporting the development and facilitation of other Levine
Center programming. As a result, Youth Ambassadors are equipped to be changemakers

and leaders with the goal of disrupting hate practices and increasing equity.
